why color of propofol is milky please furnish scintific answer?
Diprivan (propofol) is a non-pyrogenic emulsion, chemically described as 2,6 disopropylphenol and has a molecular cargo of 178.27. Propoful is formulated in a WHITE, grease in dampen emulsion. In addition to the involved componenent propofol, it also contains soybean oil and disodium adetate, glycerol and sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.
The drug is an emulsion - that resources it is basically surrounded by a fat-based solution, so it is white.
